Since ancient times, the time of year that the light turns to dark has been celebrated in Ireland. It is a moment in time when the rules can be broken as a cavalcade of Púca take to the streets, transforming the night into a playground.
Púca Festival taking place from October 31st - November 2nd will see stunning light installations and performers, playful interactives and awe-inspiring bespoke projections at ancient sites of Ireland’s Ancient East, and a new music festival across unique venues in County Meath and County Louth.
Curated Place are proud to be working in cooperation with Fáilte Ireland, Meath County Council and Louth County Council, to create a new festival to celebrate the origins of Halloween over 3 nights, delivering captivating immersive experiences, an incredible music programme, and with lasting impact across the Boyne Valley.
Starting from 2019, we will welcome all to come together in the ancient landscape to immerse in otherworldly experiences that reclaim the origins of Halloween, and Ireland as its birthplace. Taking in three towns, Púca Festival will build on Athboy’s existing Flame of Samhain event and create a new destination cultural tourism spectacular of food, folklore, flame and fun in Trim and Drogheda.
