In late-November 2018 NATUR project partners, Arts Council England, British Council and the University of Hull gathered for talks, provocation and networking to explore strategies and support for international cultural collaboration between the UK and Nordic Nations. Bringing together artists & organisations behind the UK/Nordic project the event sought to explore the challenges and opportunities for creating and sustaining international networks through academic and artistic partnerships. North Atlantic Talks was delivered in association with Absolutely Cultured’s festival Urban Legends: Northern Lights which premiered NATUR artist Dodda Maggý’s new work ALDA.
Speakers included Prof. Franco Bianchini the Director of Culture Policy and Place Institute (University of Hull), Marianne Lewsley-Stier the Head of Culture Campus (University of Hull), Kathy McArdle the Director of England & Cities (British Council), Jessica Farmer the Senior Relationship Manager (Arts Council England), Andy Brydon the Director of SICC, and NATUR artists Dodda Maggý (IS), Jez Dolan (UK), and Marie Von Krogh (NO).
