SPECTRA 2018 festival sees the happy return of STACK Collective, part of this years selected artist commissions for our Launchpad Program. The group will be presenting an interactive installation with film footage taken from various locations around Aberdeen - capturing the colourful transformation from day to night. The installation invites visitor to take part through using moveable projection screens, allowing a playfulness between light, movement and shadows.
STACK Collective was formed by a group of early career artists working in the North-East of Scotland, through collaborative workshops and interactive projects they hope to to promote creativity and facilitate discussion around Aberdeen's art scene. Through commission opportunities from festivals such as SPECTRA 2017 and Look Again Festival 2017, the group's main aim is to engage with the public of Aberdeen in a new and playful way, encouraging them to see their familiar city in an unfamiliar way.
