This week Curated Place had the pleasure of meeting up with artist and participatory specialist Naomi Kendrick in her studio. Surrounded by her vast conceptual works we sat down to discuss her practice, her revolutionary approach to enabling access in the arts and her upcoming project Drawn to the Beat taking place at Band on the Wall on the 27th January where you can take part.
Drawn to the Beat is a participatory music drawing event using Silent Disco technology. The event is a chance for anyone to be part of creating a new piece of work alongside artist Naomi Kendrick in the Band on The Wall club space, which will become both silent disco and enormous drawing surface for the night.
Tickets are free and you can sign up now, but be quick, the event has already got a strong following following Naomi's appearance on the BBC's Culture Show in November. If tickets run out by the time you get there don't worry - Curated Place is already helping Naomi prepare for Drawn to the Beat 2 which will be happening in the Autumn.
