Kew Gardens' A big day out with Peter Rabbit™

Royal Botanic Gardens Kew
March - April 2018

Curated Place returned in the spring of 2018 to deliver Kew’s very popular Easter Festival, this time inviting visitors to join Peter Rabbit and all his furry friends on a botanical bunny adventure with games, crafts and storytelling inspired by Beatrix Potter’s iconic tales. We created a new narrative that celebrate the beauty of nature at Kew and encouraged visitors of all ages to explore the wonderful world of fruit, vegetables and other edible plants, whilst learning about how they are grown through a selection of take-away conservation and biodiversity workshops. Curated Place provided an original storyline and concept along with all 3d design, infrastructure and build, equipment, logistic management and staffing.

PETER RABBIT & FRIENDS

From Kew’s beautiful Secluded Garden, visitors followed a Peter Rabbit trail to encounter activity pop-ups for all ages. A trip to Mr McGregor’s potting shed let visitors plant their very own seeds to take home and nurture in easy-to-make origami plant potters. Around the festival hub, children and adults were invited to get stuck into all sorts of giant food card games, while the hilarious veggie consequences workshops gave participants the chance to create incredible monster vegetables. Visitors can also pop into Kew’s incredible Kitchen Garden nearby, to admire the amazing display of colourful fruit and veg grown by Kew’s very own kitchen gardeners.
