Curated Place is a creative production company and gallery
founded to manage the best in contemporary creativity.
Originated by the only venue that could have done justice to the subject, Urbis, Homegrown brought together the biggest names in UK Hip Hop, seeing Curated Palce gain exclusive access to the most important private collections and the most influential figures in the UK scene. The exhibition tells the story of an underground culture that has gone on to shape the musical and visual language of the 21st century.

Split into seven sections the exhibition comprehensively covers the story of UK Hip Hop, exploring, in depth, not only the narrative of the subculture, but also its wider impact on art, music, design, fashion and all aspects of British culture.

Through expertly nuanced storytelling the exhibition succeeds in appealing equally to audiences with no experience of the culture through to the most hard-core Hip Hop heads.  This broad appeal was achieved thanks to the strong partnerships brokered by Curated Place, not least with HHC legend, and co-curator, James McNally.
