Hidden Manchester, Andrew Brooks
Iconic buildings and prominent landmarks dominate the character of any city. However, beneath the surface of these modern urban landscapes, there lies a hidden world of concealed spaces that hint at past glories, forgotten ideas, and distant hopes - the strata of the city.
In this much-loved exhibition, photographer Andrew Brooks alongside curator Andy Brydon investigated Manchester’s hidden depths, documenting their findings to present the voices of the hidden city’s custodians amidst an ethereal and apocalyptic vision of the city captured by Brooks’ lens.

On International Women’s Day Adam’s set up an experimental pop-up, open-air studio in Sackville Gardens at the centre of the wider event. More than 50 women took part helping to shape the direction of the larger project and highlighting the complexity of modern lesbian identity.
